This print depicts the University of Leeds through historical Ordnance Survey mapping, capturing the area surrounding the original Yorkshire College as it appeared during the institution’s early development. While the college itself appears in the upper part of the map, the wider view extends eastwards across neighbouring streets and buildings, placing the emerging university within the broader fabric of the city.
