This print depicts Hull's historic docks and old town through historical Ordnance Survey mapping, capturing a broad sweep of the city centre that links some of Hull's most familiar landmarks — Hull Marina, Queens Gardens, Victoria Square, Drypool Bridge, and Hull Minster. By 1910, Hull was one of Britain's busiest ports, and the docks shown here formed the commercial heart of a town whose fortunes were built on trade, fishing, and shipbuilding. The map reveals the dock basins, civic squares, and the distinctive pattern of streets that continue to define this part of Hull today, preserving the area as it appeared over a century ago.

Hull Marina was originally opened in 1809 as Humber Dock; Queens Gardens occupies the former site of Queens Dock, filled in during the 1930s.
